2024 Evaluations
EVALUATION INFORMATION
EVALUATIONS for PINTO, MUSTANG & BRONCO divisions, both BOYS and GIRLS, is THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 23 at the GARDEN CITY MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM.

- Players MUST attend their scheduled Evaluation time
- Evaluations are held so we can determine a player’s skill level and draft evenly skilled teams for a competitive season.
- If there is a conflict, please email the commissioner at gcyaabaseball@gmail.com with the reason and the child’s name and division.
- Please arrive at least 15 MINUTES BEFORE your player’s scheduled time to check in. THE PLAYER’S EVALUATION NUMBER WILL BE PROVIDED AT CHECK IN. This number will be taped to the back of their shirt. (**Please have your child wear a cotton tshirt as the tape will not stick to polyester material.) If we do not have a concussion form on file for your player, you and your player will be asked to sign one at check in. Bring a glove and appropriate shoes for the gym. A bat is optional.
- Parents NEED to stay at the evaluation with their child and can observe from the bleachers.
- Coaches will contact you within a week or so of evaluations after drafts are held with team information. If you are not contacted within that time frame, contact your division director. Practices begin in early April.

Saturday, March 23
9:30am – BOYS Pinto – age 7
10am – GIRLS Pinto – ages 7 & 8
11am – BOYS Pinto – age 8
11:30am – GIRLS Mustang – ages 9-10
12:30pm – BOYS Mustang – ages 9-10
1pm – GIRLS Bronco – ages 11-13
2pm – BOYS Bronco – ages 11-12
*Decisions about move ups are made at evaluations which the player MUST attend in order to be considered for move up. (For example, if your son is a 6 year old wanting to play Boys Pinto, he must attend the evaluation time slot for Boys Pinto – Age 7) The move up decision is made between the commissioner, raters and coaches in attendance at evaluations. It is NOT an automatic move up just because a parent wants it. It is a selective process and not many are allowed to move up. For the Boys Pinto division, those who are age 5 on or before April 30, 2024 are NOT allowed to be evaluated for Pinto. They MUST play TBall.
